Yuva Rajkumar’s third film went on floors on April 30 on the occasion of Akshaya Trithiya and, as had been speculated, will have the actor collaborating with Sukka Soori, known for films like Jackie, Anna Bond, Doddmane Huduga, Kaddipudi and Tagaru, for which he collaborated with Puneeth Rajkumar and Shivarajkumar. Soori, whose last was the disastrous Bad Manners with Abishesk Ambareesh in the lead, has had a successful track record with the Rajkumar family, which is expected to continue with the as-yet-untitled film.

All about #Yuva03

Tentatively called #Yuva03, the film is being produced by PRK Productions, KRG Studios and Jayanna Combines, who are also backing his film Ekka, which will be in theatres on June 6, 2025. Yuva will be paired with Rithnya Vijay, the younger daughter of actor Vijay Kumar (Duniya Vijay). Rithnya is currently working in her father’s next, Landlord, directed by Gentleman fame Jad eshaa K Hampi, and was earlier rumoured to be launched as a leading lady by Soori with his film Kaage Bangara.

Interestingly, Vijay’s older daughter Monisha is currently working with Yuva’s brother, Vinay Rajkumar in the former’s next directorial City Lights. Meanwhile, Soori was rumoured to be the choice of filmmaker for Yuva’s second film, after Santhosh Ananddram’s Yuva failed to give him the launch that was expected.

While Rathnan Prapancha fame Rohit Padaki eventually got the second film, Ekka, the hope with Soori’s film is that he delivers a script as good as Jackie. Like Ekka, this film will also have music by Charanraj, who has scored for all of Suri’s film’s since Tagaru.

Ekka, according to the makers, follows one man’s journey and what he does when he gets entangled in the dangerous underworld of Bengaluru. The teaser that was released for Yuva’s birthday had massive Jackie vibes, which fans absolutely loved, considering that Yuva is being propped up as the successor to the seat vacated by the late Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar. Yuva is paired with Sampada Hulivana in Ekka.
