Actors Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen will be collaborating for a film directed by filmmaker Pandiraaj. The makers on Saturday took to social media to share the title glimpse. What was called VJS 52 so far, is now called Thalaivan Thalaivii. The upcoming film marks the second collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen after the Malayalam film 19(1)(a).

Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen film titled Thalaivan Thalaivii

The title of Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen’s next film has been revealed. It is called Thalaivan Thalaivii.

The title teaser begins with a quirky music as we see food being prepared onscreen. The voiceover is that of a family, including the man, telling the girl that they will look after her like a queen. Soon, we see Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi cooking as the duo are arguing, and slowly it escalates into a loud argument. Finally, we see Yogi Babu saying that they are not 'normal people' like others, as the teaser ends with Vijay Sethupathi firing a bullet from gun.

Written and directed by filmmaker Pandiraaj, who had made films like Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Namma Veettu Pillai and Marina. Thalaivan Thalaivii is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Termed as ‘rugged love story’, the film has music by Santhosh Narayanan as composer and M. Sukumar as cinematographer. Pradeep E Ragav is the editor. A release dare for the film is yet to be announced.
