In Costao, Nawazuddin Siddiqui played a larger-than-life role. During an interview with Mid-Day, the actor opened up about portraying Costao. He said that Costao laughs a lot, but there’s still something hidden behind his laughter, and the actor found that very interesting to explore. The actor admitted that Costao is very courageous and added that he was moved by the officer's suffering when standing against a corrupt system.

“The more I am experienced, the more I am scared thinking about acting because there are so many things to be explored. There could be 1,000 ways to perform a scene, and the process of finding them is what I feel is interesting," he added.
