Puri was written off by the press and fans alike, and that is when he signed the DSP tar Vijay Sethupathi for his next, a surprising move that shocked many in the industry.

Now, things have gone to another level as Puri has roped in none other than the solid performer Nivetha Thomas for a key role in the film. Nivetha has signed on the dotted line, and her name will be announced soon.

Puri Jagan ropes popular stars for his next

Sometime back, there was also news that yet another star performer, Radhika Apte, was signed up for this film, but news about her inclusion is yet to be made official. Kannada actor Duniya Vijay is also a part of this social drama that will be mostly shot in Chennai on specially erected sets. 

We at OTTplay have already reported that the Karuppan star, Vijay Sethupathi, has asked Puri to wrap up the film in just 60 days. On the other hand, Nivetha Thomas is high on the success of her last film, 35 Chinna Katha Kadu, which is now streaming on OTTplay Premium. She played the role of a Brahmin housewife and won the hearts of many. 

Puri roping her in for his next is surely a big achievement for Nivetha Thomas. With each passing day, the Puri-Sethupathi film is getting bigger with a solid cast, and only time will tell what kind of subject the Badri and Loafer director has prepared this time around to make a comeback. 

The said project is yet untitled and is being produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmee under their Puri Connects banner. The film's launch event will happen on a silent note in Chennai, as per the news. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
