Tourist Family OTT release

Actor-director Sasikumar and Simran, who once worked in Petta but did not have any scenes together, are joining hands with the upcoming family drama titled Tourist Family. The film is set to hit theatres on May 1 alongside Suriya-starrer Retro.

While speaking about the film setting to release on the same day as Retro, producer of Tourist Family, Yuvaraj Ganesan said that the decision is because of the OTT release. He said that with the rise of streaming platforms, when films are sold, the release window on OTT is also decided. Since the makers were asked to stream the film by the end of May, Tourist Family had to come on May 1, the producer stated. Yuvaraj also said that it is not their intention to compete with Suriya's Retro.

Yuvaraj Ganesan is backing the film under Million Dollar Studios. Like the previous projects of the banner; Good Night and Lover, Tourist Family too will stream on JioHotstar. An exact release date is yet to be announced.
