With just one more day to go for the release of actor Suriya’s much-awaited film Retro, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film until the final stage. Only on Tuesday, the team, along with Suriya and filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj had met the press in Mumbai. At the event, Suriya revealed a portion from the film which is single take and where a lot of emotions take place. And it is none other from the viral Kanimaa song.

Retro star Suriya reveals a key single-shot sequence in the film

Written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro is an upcoming romantic action drama starring Suriya in the lead role. We had earlier reported that the advance bookings for the film have crossed a business of Rs 10.4 crore so far. As the last leg of promotions, Suriya joined an event that took place in Mumbai on Tuesday. Speaking about the film, he talked about a single shot scene for about 15 minutes. This sequence takes place during the Kanimaa song, which went viral on social media for Pooja Hegde’s performance.

“In that we dance, fight, argue and many things take place. The entire star cast should be able to dance, fight, and have conversations as the cameras keep rolling. The level also keeps changing. If you ask for something, there is that, a dance component, stunt sequences. Everyone wants to give their best,” Suriya said, while adding that it is his most favourite part from Retro.

Suriya films to watch on OTT

Suriya, a known face in Tamil cinema, has starred in several action dramas. Namely, they include romantic actioner Ghajini , co-starring Asin and directed by AR Murugadoss. There is also Hari's Singam in which Suriya plays an honest cop who has his violent ways to face his villains. Another action drama of Suriya's is 7 Aum Arivu in which Suriya plays dual characters; a circus gymnast and Boddhi Dharman. All these films are available on OTTplay Premium.
