Raid 2 is the sequel to the 2018 blockbuster, Raid. The film that hit theaters on May 1 has been performing well at the box office as it has already collected Rs. 18 crore on day 1, as per Sacnilk. Now, a while ago, Genelia Deshmukh took to her social media account and shared her review for the film and said that Raid 2 should be celebrated.

Genelia Deshmukh reviews Raid 2

On May 2, Genelia Deshmukh took to her Instagram account and shared her review for Raid 2. Praising the film, the actress wrote, "Raid2- A film one wanted to see from the first promo itself and it just doesn't let you down...I was glued to it from the moment I sat in the theatre.."

She lauded her husband, Riteish Deshmukh and penned, "And at the risk of sounding biased @riteishd- I bow down to the actor you are in this film (and you know I don't do that too often).. You are something else."

She called Ajay Devgn 'supreme' and wrote that she could not take her eyes off the actor he is. Praising director Raj Kumar Gupta, the Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na actress wrote, "@rajkumargupta08- what a film you have made- so authentic, so true.."

"Wishing the entire cast and crew of Raid many congratulations and lotsa love #raid2 needs to be celebrated," she concluded.

Fans laud Riteish Deshmukh in Raid 2

After the film hits theatres, fans took to their X accounts and shared their reviews too. They loved the acting of Riteish more than Ajay in Raid 2. One fan said, "Just watched Raid 2 and that CM chappal scene by @Riteishd is a masterclass in acting. Bollywood truly hasn’t tapped into the full range of your talent. You deserve far more powerful and nuanced roles. Outstanding performance!"

Another fan said, "Riteish is better than Ajay in the film but Amit Sial ate them all! Funny punches here & there but nothing new. Plot is fine but with a lukewarm climax. Rajat Kapoor, Supriya Pathak's talent wasted. Vaani Kapoor is in the film for no reason. Still a good weekend watch."

About Raid 2

In Raid 2, Ajay Devgn reprised his IRS officer Amay Patnaik. In the movie, he investigates a new case of white-collar crime and confronts a powerful and corrupted politician, Dada Manohar Bhai (Riteish Deshmukh). The film explores the themes of justice, corruption, and the lengths one will go to protect their reputation.

Meanwhile, after its theatrical run, Raid 2 will reportedly land on Netflix!
