Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 continues to mint decent Box Office collection after losing screens since the first Friday release. The movie is now nearing half a century i.e. Rs. 50 crore over its first weekend. Given the current trend at the Box Office and challenges for Raid 2, this is quite a decent number.

Raid 2 mints over Rs. 40 crore in three days
After earning Rs. 18 crore on its first Saturday, according to Sacnilk, Raid 2 has crossed Rs. 49.25 crore at the Box Office. The movie has earned Rs. 40.5 crore net. Raid 2 had minted Rs. 19.25 crore on day 1 and Rs. 12 crore on day 2.
Raid 2 already beats Sunny Deol's Jaat day 3

Given how Raid 2 and Sunny Deol's Jaat followed the same release pattern (out on Thursday), Raid 2 is already leading despite circumstances not being in its favour. Three days into its release, Jaat had just crossed Rs. 25 crore mark and Raid 2 has already earned almost double of it. It took Jaat five days to come close to Rs. 50 crore mark, and even then, the movie featuring Gadar 2-famed Sunny Deol opposite Randeep Hooda, had earned only Rs. 47.5 crore. In that sense, Raid 2 is definitely leading the pack.
Raid 2 beats Kesari 2's first week Box Office in 3 days

Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2, despite rave reviews, also took a week to come close to Rs. 50 crore club. Even the movie had minted only Rs. 46.1 crore despite the powerful story paired with excelling performances by Akshay, Hisaab Barabar actor R. Madhavan, as well as Ananya Panday. The Karan Johar-produced film was expected to earn well but struggled at the Box Office too. Raid 2, despite the struggles, on the other hand, is excelling in its own way. It is no Sikandar, but for the standards we have witnessed since the previous month, Raid 2 is definitely performing well. When would the movie, made on a budget of Rs. 120 crore, enter the prestigious Rs. 100 crore club though, is a question waiting to be answered.
