Kareena Kapoor Khan on Jab We Met

During Waves Summit 2025, Karan Johar asked Kareena Kapoor Khan to name one film that everyone should watch, and without hesitation, the actress said that it has to be Jab We Met. 

Citing a reason, Kareena said, "It embodies us to the spirit of a young Punjabi girl that every girl has that spark, a dream in her eyes. She chose what she wanted, she has the right to feel the love the way she wants. It connected with everyone for a reason, so I am sure it will connect with everyone globally."

Is Jab We Met 2 possible?

During an award show in March 2025, Shahid Kapoor was about Jab We Met 2. The actor said that we should ask the filmmaker about the sequel. The Ishq Vishk actor added, "It is a fantastic film and if somebody comes up with the story then why not? There can always be a part 2."

Meanwhile, Imtiaz told Times Now that there will be no sequels to Jab We Met and also Love Aaj Kal. "I don't know whether I should ever make a sequel but let's see," he added. 

Jab We Met tells the story of Aditya Kashyap, a businessman who meets the vibrant Geet Dhillon on a train. Their unique love story explores themes of resilience, self-discovery, and finding happiness.
