There is no denying the fact that the Jersey and Gentleman star, Nani's film, is getting more preference and theaters in Telugu states. When compared to HIT 3, Retro is getting not even half the screens. This has become a slight issue for the distributors who have grabbed the Telugu theatrical rights for a massive price.
For them to see profits, Retro has to be released on a massive number of screens, which have now been taken by Nani and his team. The only choice for Retro to make its presence felt is to start with a solid word of mouth. Only then, the demand for the film shoots up, and the distributors will automatically get more screens.

Of late, Nani is in terrific form as his last few films have been big hits. But Nani's HIT 3 is also facing its issues. The action drama has been rated 'A' by the censors, and that is the reason the family audience will stay away from the film. This will surely hamper the collections of HIT 3 despite a strong opening that the film will see on May 1, 2025.
HIT 3 to release in record number of screens in Telugu states
HIT 3 has been directed by Sailesh Kolanu, who last made Saindhav with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam star, Venkatesh. On the other hand, Retro is also in the news as it is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and has Pooja Hegde in the female lead's role.
In Tamil Nadu, Retro will take a mammoth opening, but in Telugu, there is no denying the fact that Retro is struggling for theaters. Let's see what happens in the days to come. Stay tuned for more updates on these projects.
