
Siya Ke Ram fame J Karthik announces new Hindi film; collaborates with director Hardik Gajjar again

Actor J Karthik, who became a household name among Kannada audiences by turning to the small screen with the series Ashwini Nakshatra, after a few years of playing the hero’s friend or an antagonist in films like Kempe Gowda, Vishnuvardhana, Jarasandha , Eega, Padhe Padhe, Bengaluru 560023, etc., then vowed Hindi audiences playing Ravan in Siya Ke Ram, and later Iblis, the main antagonist in Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul. He made his Bollywood debut with the film O Pushpa I Hate Tears, which failed at the box office.

On May 1, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday, he announced his second Hindi feature film. JK, as the actor is popularly known, is collaborating with Siya Ke Ram director Hardik Gajjar, who is also known for films like Bhavai and Atithi Bhootho Bhava, again and will be a part of Shri Radha Ramanam. Written by Prakash Kapadia (Devdas, Black, Bajirao Mastani) and Raam Mori, Shri Radha Ramanam, according to the makers, will be an epic love story about Lord Krishna.
The project had been announced a while ago, with Shiva trilogy author Amish Tripathy on board as creative director, with VFX to be done in locations across Vancouver, Los Angeles and Mumbai to create ancient Dwarka, Vrindavan, etc. JK has not revealed what role he will be playing in the film, which will be announced in due course of time by the makers, although he has already begun shooting for it. Shri Radha Ramanam is expected to be in theatres in early 2026.

The actor also received birthday wishes from the teams of his films The Veer, a crime-thriller in which he plays a bartender, as well as the long-delayed Kaada, a dark thriller that also stars Kavya Shetty. Incidentally, a little less than 2 years ago, JK had announced his decision to give up acting, citing interference from unnamed people in blocking opportunities. At the time, he had announced a new film, Om Sat Tat, about a professional body builder, the status of which remains unknown.
