Ajay Devgn's upcoming movie Raid 2 looks promising at the Box Office even before the movie is out in theatres. This film is performing better than Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 as well. Raid 2, in fact, is in direct competition with Sunny Deol's recent offering, Jaat. That, in itself, speaks volumes about the demand for this movie.

Ajay Devgn's Raid 2, scheduled for release on Friday, May 1, has already minted over Rs. 5 crore at the Box Office, according to Sacnilk. Early trends of the movie suggest that Raid 2 has minted Rs. 5.05 crore in advance booking itself. Yes, this is much more than what Kesari 2 had earned in advance booking (Rs. 3 crore) and closer to what Jaat minted (Rs. 6.27 crore).
Raid 2 vs Jaat vs Sikandar
Owing to the early Box Office trend, it is safe to say that Raid 2 has long surpassed Kesari 2 and is in direct competition with Sunny Deol's Jaat and Salman Khan's Sikandar. While it is likely to cross Jaat's first day Box Office collection, aiming to cross Sikandar's day 1 Box Office record is not a far-fetched dream either. Who knows, Raid 2 might be beat 2023's superhit film Gadar 2 at the Box Office, too!
Raid 2 to bring respite at the Box Office after Ground Zero disaster?
Emraan Hashmi's Ground Zero was expected to earn better than Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 at the Box Office but that did not happen. Ground Zero, featuring the Azhar actor, had earned a little above Rs. 5 crore over its first weekend release. That is a number that Raid 2 has earned in its advance booking. Thus, the future for this movie appears bright. This is despite the current competition at the Box Office with Sikandar, Jaat, Kesari: Chapter 2, Ground Zero, Phule and the re-release of Salman Khan-Aamir Khan’s cult-classic, Andaz Apna Apna. Among them, Sikandar is the only movie to earn over Rs. 100 crore net. Jaat and Kesari 2 have also crossed the mark but worldwide. For now, Raid 2 looks promising but the release would reveal the fate of the movie.
