Director Anil Ravipudi has not scored a single flop in his career, and his last film, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, ended as a smash hit at the box office, making just over Rs 300 crore. Now, he has got a golden chance to direct none other than megastar Chiranjeevi for a biggie, which was launched a few weeks ago in Hyderabad.

The script work is done, and as per the latest update, the film will go on floors in the last week of June 2025. Since the last few days, there have been reports floating around that noted hero Karthikeya has been roped in to play the main villain in the film.

This made fans super excited as Karthikeya is an ardent fan of Chiranjeevi and always wanted to act in a megastar film. But we at OTTplay have come to know that this news is false and has been confirmed by one of the team members of the director.

One of the assistants of Anil Ravipudi has revealed to us that Karthikeya was not even in their discussions, and no one has approached him so far. The source goes on to add that the casting is yet to be locked, and the director is in talks with a few popular actors.

There is also news that the Guru star, Venkatesh, will be seen in an extended cameo in this film. This is a welcome change as no other star hero acts in other stars' films these days. Venkatesh and Chiranjeevi go a long way back and share a very close relationship.

Anil Ravipudi is known to make entertaining films, and the same is going to happen with this Chiranjeevi film as well. The makers have also locked the release date as the biggie will hit the screens on January 13, 2026, as a Sankranthi special.

Bheems Ceciroleo will compose the music for this film, which is being produced by Sahu Garapati. We at OTTplay have already reported that Chiranjeevi will take home a whopping Rs 150 crore as his fee. The star hero's daughter, Sushmita Konidela, will also co-produce the film.
