CID's makers took a drastic decision recently - they decided to replace one of the leading actors Shivaji Satam with Parth Samthaan. Although Parth entered the show as ACP Pradhyuman’s replacement, the buzz has not been as expected. This is now touted to be the reason why makers have decided to discontinue his track on the show. Parth Samthaan's entry on CID brought low TRP?

Since loyal CID fans associate Shivaji Satam as the iconic character of ACP Pradhyuman, they have shown resistance towards a fresher talent like Parth Samthaan. Thus, Money Control reported that low TRP, especially during IPL season, is the reason why Parth Samthaan might be discontinued from CID. The actor had entered the show as ACP Ayushmann once Shivaji Satam took a brief exit.

Is Parth Samthaan really out of CID with Shivaji Satam's re-entry?

Another report on Filmibeat suggests that Parth might not be fully out of CID just yet. "Just Shivaji Satam's exit was a promotional gimmick," the source clarified. If one notes, Shivaji Satam and Parth Samthaan do play different characters, so the makers might take a different route and bring them together, at least briefly.

The twists and turns in CID

Ever since CID started streaming online, the show has been seeing various twists. At first, Dayanand Shetty's Daya and Aditya Srivastava's Abhijeet were pitted against each other. This was followed by ACP Pradhyuman's demise, only to give Parth Samthaan entry on the show and mark Shivaji Satam's grand re-entry as well. As of now, both Samthaan and Satam would stay on the show. However, it would not be a surprise if Parth is out of it either, given the constant plot twists the makers have put the viewers through in one month alone.
