CID is one of the longest-running Television shows of all time. The show was renewed for a second season in December 2024 due to huge fans demand. The show recently made headlines when Shivaji Satam's ACP Pradyuman exited the show, but again, due to fans' demand, the character is brought back. Amidst this, Dayanand Shetty who plays the role of Inspector Daya, recalled an unexpected mishap on the sets.

Dayanand Shetty on mishap on CID sets

Speaking to Filmee Keeda, Dayanand Shetty recalled an unexpected mishap that once took place on the sets of CID. Daya, who is famous for breaking doors in CID, added that he had to be extra careful where his character was supposed to slap his co-actor. Daya said that he has broken many doors on the CID set, but would never make contact with anyone’s face while slapping them.

Recalling a mishap on sets, the actor shared “Once my fingers touched someone’s nose during a slapping scene and he started bleeding. It can be that dangerous but that happened only once in my 22-year CID career. Otherwise, I never made contact to anyone’s face. It looks real on screen.”

Face off between ACP Pradyuman and ACP Ayushmann

Parth Samthaan joined CID as ACP Ayushmann after Shivaji Satam's ACP Pradyuman exited the show. However, the veteran actor has returned to the sets, and a face-off between these two ACPs is going to be an enthralling watch. 

The new promo starts with a voice saying, “ACP Pradyuman ke maut ka ab hoga parda faas.” ACP Ayushmann can be seen warning ACP Pradyuman, saying, “Aapke CID team me ek gaddar hai, jo aapko maarna chahta hai.” (There is a mole in your team who wants to kill you). The episode will be streaming on May 3 on SonyLIV via OTTplay Premium! 

Fans cannot wait for the faceoff, as one said, I'm really happy that ACP Pradyuman is back! He is an iconic character!" while another commented, "We don't want acp ayushman to leave . Make him permanent."
